cannot disable metacity shortcuts

Hi

I have the following serious problem with metacity:
The shortcuts are making it impossible to work with Maya (3d program).
The problem existed in previous versions of redhat but it was fixable
because the default shortcuts could be changed or deleted (sawfish).
This is not possible with metacity.

The <alt>+LeftMouse combination is one of the shortcuts I need to
remove.
I've tried to patch the source with now gconf schemas, but I must admit
that its beyond me to figure out why it still doesn't work.

Metacity has almost no documentation (at least none I could find), the
only piece of useful information was that the alt+mouse-click was
enabled by default.

Would someone _please_ help me disable those shortcuts.

Shortcut should always be user configurable, I would guess that a lot of
cross-platform programs are affected by this. I know the ones I use are.

Other than that Null looks really nice, though the icons could be more
descriptive (what does a rocket and a planet symbolize?).
