SSH port forwarding does not work

Hi,

Redhat 8.0

Firewall disabled.

Trying to use the SSH port forward to an IMAP server.
SSH into a server on a terminal with port forwarding to
a remote host like

SSH -L 143:remotehost:143 ssh_server

Using the evolution trying to fetch emails from the IMAP server.
Then the SSH terminal window freezes. This is a consistent on
several times.
