/proc/ksyms is deprecated (there is no way to bring it back). So, you'll
need to edit rc.sysinit and remove any reference to /proc/ksyms. Also, I
recommend you not playing with /proc/sys/kernel/modprobe or
/proc/sys/kernel/hotplug and instead, leaving them at their default
values (unless you have modprobe and hotplug on another directory).
