Phoebe went further into experimental development than RH 9 will release as.

There are new erratta within RH 8 that Phoebe3 did not recieve.

For me, the major differences between 8 and the beta are the menu 
structure and the fact that my scanner works with phoebe within the 
GNOME desktop.

Some of my favorite programs were eliminated also.
