It isn't supported though. A progressive upgrade, instead of versioned snapshots, sounds like something that would be worth subscribing to. Of course, for compatibility reasons. A cue to let you know that you are entering "NPTL country" or some other area that would break compatibility would still have to be relayed, to the user.
