Of course xine-cvs was completely unstable
for me as well. But a self-compiled install
of xine-lib-1-beta9 and xine-ui-0.9.19 have
been quite solid, and I was surprised to find
that xine now does the right thing with the
DVD menu...

Yes, I bought an mtv license too - it was
nice back in the day, but they seem to have
stagnated - haven't fired it up in a while -
