take out the --with-mysql and try it. I had a similar thing happen to
me.

Hi All,

Hopefully some one can shed some light on what I am doing wrong here.

I've just got the latest version of php-4.3.2

I'm having a few issues with compiling the bugger.

[root@host php-4.3.2]# ./configure
--with-apxs2=/usr/local/apache2/bin/apxs
--with-config-file-path=/usr/local/apache2/conf
--with-mysql=/usr/include/mysql --with-system-regex

Is what I am using to compile it.

It gets through a fair bit of the configure, and then it spits out....

But, the header files are there....

[root@host mysql]# pwd
/usr/include/mysql
[root@host mysql]# ls

m_ctype.h my_global.h my_no_pthread.h mysqld_error.h my_sys.h
  sslopt-longopts.h

Any ideas on why its not happening? Have i not included something
specific?
