Is it possible to use a "noapm" option in the GRUB prompt to disable APM using a precompiled kernel? I'm running 2.4.20-20.8 and want to test it without apm on my Gateway 433c. Do I have to recompile the kernel or can I use an option to turn off apm and if so, what would the syntax look like? here is what I'm booting from with GRUB: kernel /vmlinuz-2.4.20-20.8 ro root=LABEL=/ initrd /initrd-2.4.20-20.8.img thanks for your help, nick -- Please avoid sending me Word or PowerPoint attachments.
