command to bring the graphics card selector in non gui mode

Hi all ! 

what is the command that brings up the text mode dialog to select the grahics card and memory for that graphics card 

i have just reinstalled a new graphics card , but linus is not recognising the card ,,,so no graphics ..
please help 


there is a command which brings up the dialog ..usually this dialog comes in the initial setup of linux , (for graphics card if unrecognised ) , i want the same dialog screen ..please help 

I have SIS 305 3d graphics card ...its not supported under linux 9
