RE: smbmount

Okay, i'll try that.

however, now I seem to be having another issue. I had to apply for a new static
IP for my box. I got the information, and plugged it in, but now on the restart,
the system is really creeping. It stopped for a long time at 'starting lpd' and
then reported that it could not get local hostname bad, or something like that.

Any ideas?

I use:

smbclient //servername/share $password -U $username -c 'cd dir1/dir2/dir3;
put '$filename''

in a shell script and it works handsomely for me.
