INIT error or else

Hi I am new to Linux and I encountered the following: when I boot my machine it satr all services normaly and XFS as well ... But just before the login prompt it says INIT sending a TERM signal.... and then switches from runlevel 5 the default to run level 3...???? The error I got I think... _FontTransSocketUNIXConnect: Can't connect: error = 2 failed to set default font path 'unix/:7100' Fatal server error could not open default font 'fixed' XIO: fatal IO error 104 "connection reset by peer" on X server after 0 request 0 known processed and 0 events rermaining Help needed as I cannot get my KDE nor GNOME back and working in text mode is fine but prefer graphics Thanks fabrice --------------------------------- Do you Yahoo!?
