I made that boot floppy twice.
here is the output of the dd command:
[root@server images]# pwd
/mnt/cdrom/images
[root@server images]#
[root@server images]# dd if=boot.img of=/dev/fd0
2880+0 records read.
2880+0 records written.
some more details: my cdrom is /dev/hda
my hard drive is /dev/hde
But I dont think that could be the problem
I looked for a newer boot disk image, but none was found
I'm gonna try with a 7.3 bootdisk and install
