rcd and X network connection

When I do a netstat -tapn I get five open connections by rcd on ports 2828, 2829, 2830, 2831 and 505. That seems excessive to me. Is something not quite right with my setup? Or is that completely normal. Also, how do I turn off X from listening on port 6000? Or at least how can I control what interface it listens on? Skip
