use it with sophos and Sendmail and it works great.  I recommend to use 
postfix instead of sendmail as the SMTP.
For a webmail system, you can use squirellmail, horde (PHP based) or 
openwebmail (perl cgi based).  Those are, IMHO the best supported free 
webmail packages.
