Can anyone recommend a good web stress tool that supports GET, POST, and
some interactive stuff like logging in to the web site and submitting
forms?

One of our developers has been using something called Web Server Stress
Tool (details below), but it's a piece of junk that uses up all the
memory and cpu on his PC, effectively limiting him to simulate no more
than 50 simultaneous users, because it craps out for higher numbers.

We'd like to be able to simulate thousands of users.
