Gurus:

Has anyone got a box-stock RH9 install to support a Radeon 9600 (64mb) 
in native 1400x1050 resolution on their ThinkPad T42?  I keep getting 
kicked down to the VESA driver at 800x600, which is incredibly painful.  
I tried the drivers that ATI supplies, but they fail to build properly 
(unresolved symbols).  Their website claims that this is due to a 
mismatch between the built kernel and kernel source, but since this is a 
box-stock install, it seems unlikely.  Ideas?
