RE: HP MSA30 Storage

That's actually a function of what SCSI Controller is inside the system,
it's nothing to do with the MSA30, just presents 14 SCSI targets (one
per installed disk) to the controller.

You don't say what the server hardware is, but assuming they are
attached via either the onboard controller or an addon SmartArray card
to an HP Proliant Server (e.g. DL36* DL38* DL58*) , you'll need the
cciss kernel module. RedHat provide one and so does the HP Proliant
Support Pack.

I recommend installing the HP PSP anyway, because it will do the
monitoring of the array and alert you to environmental failures. It also
provides the hpacucli (HP Array Configuration Utilities, Command Line
Interface) which will allow you to build arrays out of your disks.
