Clue or pointers accepted gratefully.

Running vsFTPd and I need to get some very granular reports and 
notification.
The log parsing piece I can do with (swatch, sawmill, whatever) but the 
customer wants to be notified via email whenever one of 90 users posts a 
file & whenever someone downloads it.

plus the ability to notify the original poster upon succesful upload & 
download.

If anyone has gotten into this area pointers are requested
