Up2date disaster recovery

When an update goes wrong to a package, does up2date have any features
that can help me out?

I update to package_version1.1 from package_version1.0, but 1.1 doesn't
work, what do I do?

I don't use RHN much, but I'm assuming up2date usually only retrieves
the latest version of a package.
