Step 1) Install your server using the RHEL4 update 3 CDs you downloaded from RHN. Step 2) Turn up2date off, if you leave it on, it will update you to RHEL4 Update 4 (by default, everything except the kernel gets updated) Step 3) Scream loudly at your software vendor that they need to get their rears going on certifying Update 4 for their software because you've got security updates that *need* to be installed.
