Taroon + numa question ?

Hi,

I have a question which resolves around numa implementation on taroon ?

Firstly,

A scenario.

Server configuration.

quad core server with 16 GB of memory running x86_64 RH E WS 3 U8.
Swap allocated as 20 GB ( ( 2 * 2 GB )  + ( 16 GB - 2 GB ))

With NUMA enabled, I take this as dividing the memory into 4. 


So, if a process runs with a requirement for 6 GB of memory, what should
occur.

Process takes 4 GB of physical memory and then;

Either;

Oops with 

OOM kill occurred on an x86_64 numa system! The
numa=off boot option might help avoid this.


Or

Takes remainder memory requirement by using swap ?

Why am I asking this question ?

Because if it uses swap, then for servers with multiple low memory
requirement jobs, numa being on is the correct configuration for us.

If it simply kills the process, then numa being off is the correct
configuration for multiple low memory requirements.
