/boot/kernel.h issues

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone has experienced /boot/kernel.h out-of-sync
issues?  For example, we've got machines which have the following and
we're trying to figure out how this happened:

/* Kernel type i686-smp */
<snip>
#define __BOOT_KERNEL_SMP 0

/sbin/mkkerneldoth is in charge of updating this file each time the
machine boots and it's also run in %post of each kernel and kernel-smp
install.  Any idea why my kernel.h (on many machines) would be out of
sync?

The only workaround is to remove kernel.h manually and re-
run /sbin/mkkerneldoth.  This is because /sbin/mkkerneldoth sees the
running kernel is i686-smp and it doesn't update the file (although the
BOOT_KERNEL_SMP define is wrong).
