Very true; I hate ISVs that make kernel modules yet don't know how to
compile them properly.

When I passed "-D__modules__smp" on the command-line and was able to get
it working, that's when I found out about kernel.h.  It's stupid for any
installation program to mess with kernel.h if they can define this on
the gcc command line.
