I did that twice, although on x86_64.  However, I did it in two steps, fi=
rst upgrading to the latest 4.x release, then to 5.2 (same day, quick che=
ck in between).  As everyone else has said, there may be cleanups to perf=
orm.  Perl can be fun (if you've got any local stuff installed via CPAN o=
r RPMs generated by cpan2rpm) you will probably have to rebuild/install i=
t to get it into the right place.  Other than that, just have a good test=
 plan in place so you can *know* if anything is broken, and a roll-back p=
lan in case it goes really badly.
