Backuo software for linux

Hi All,
A coleague has asked me to run this past you linux guys...he is running
mandrake ver 10,is there any backup software that comes with this ver of
linux?....is there backup software which can be purchased, ie windows
backup exec for linux?.My colleague requires to backup the config of the
server,also he needs to backup database mysql, the backup media is HP
Ultrium Lto 230.
