Perhaps, but I have a party line with me and two other subscribers who don't appreciate listening to a modem. Line quality is so bad that the modem can't cope for more than minutes at a time. >It is hard to say if you would be better off with RH 7.x. Doesn't the second decimal (for example the x in 7.x) mean it is an experimental OS, which may have no relation to where Linux is going? "Taylor, ForrestX" continued; >What problems are you having with 6.2? What hardware are you running it on >(CPU, RAM, HD, etc.)? What are you using it for? I am having problems partitioning so I could experiment with GNU, Berkely, and other OSs (I am a retired Computer Science MS) all on CDROMs and not yet installed. I do a lot of experimenting and programming. I have lost some RH 6.2 modules completely. I have a Dell workstation from August 2001, with two 9Gb and two 60Gb disks: it seems everything I have done is on one 9Gb disk! Does Partion Magic work well? I have version 2 in the box since 1992, but it will not install, and the original source address is dead. I have tried, but no help anywhere there. _________________________________________________________________ MSN 8 with e-mail virus protection service: 3 months FREE*. http://join.msn.com/?page=features/virus&xAPID=42&PS=47575&PI=7324&DI=7474&SU= http://www.hotmail.msn.com/cgi-bin/getmsg&HL=1216hotmailtaglines_eliminateviruses_3mf
