ssh2 timeout question

I note when I ssh2 into my home linux machine, after about 2 hours,
I get an error that stops all activity on that "channel"...
the xterm that opened the ssh session posts the following message
(or something like it, since I am working from memory)...

Hmmm... protocol dipatch error 22

Any ideas where to look?

I have been unsuccessful in finding what this indicates, let alone 
a solution.

If you reply, please send a copy to me directly as well, as I might 
see it sooner.
