Re: KDE and Gnome on same machine

    You may already have kde on your machine, even if you've never used
it.  Try typing "rpm -qa|grep kde" to see if you get a list of installed
rpm's whose name begins with "kde".  If you have kde installed, it will
come up the next time you log on after you type "switchdesk kde" (or type
"switchdesk" and click in the appropriate place in the GUI).  Once you're
in KDE, you can again use switchdesk to get gnome the next time you log 
on.
    Both KDE and GNOME have help available, but they're sufficiently
user-friendly to let you get a lot done without bothering to read the
help.
