Hello All. Im trying to install RHS 6.2 on a dual xeon P4, by way of CD. The installation crashes when anaconda tries to read package names from the /RedHat/base/comps file: Exception occured <removed many lines of dump> File "/usr/lib/anaconda/comps.py", line 299, in readCompsFile comp.addPackage (packages[l]) File "/usr/lib/anaconda/comps.py", line 46, in __getitem__ return self.packages[item] keyError : basesystem I have searched the net for similar problems, and found this one: http://www.redhat.com/support/resources/gotchas/6.2/gotchas-6.2-4.html#ss4.6 It details a problem with prior installed partitions being FAT32, and it details that you cannot install a root partition ( / ) greater than 2GB. The machine was tested at the suppliers with Win2k Server, and then the partitions wiped, so this problem description looks to be true. I have tried removing all partitions, and rebuilding the table with: 20mb boot 512mb swap 1800mb root and the install still fails in the same manner. I then searched the web for the later part of the error message, and found this: http://www.prairienet.org/library/redhat/redhat-list/2002/03/msg00439.php Does anyone know where I can get the update diskette, or something similar to help fix this problem? Thanks very much in advance, Dan Haines
