6.2's version of anaconda was quite buggy, so i'm not suprised that you've 
run into these problems.  if the updates disk doesn't work, then the other 
way might be to just pop the drive and install it on another machine to 
install.  When you image the updates disk, just type linux updates at the 
boot prompt.
