it works here without problems and helps you to keep your main install 
up2date

if it shouldn´t work you can replace it with your rhn-applet from your cd

# rpm -Uvh --replacepkgs --replacefiles 
/mnt/cdrom/Fedora/RPMS/rhn-applet-2.1.2-1.i386.rpm
