There can be different causes of the problem however since the
introduction of the CDN the cause seems to most often be some node in
the CDN having an issue with its copy of the content making this
difficult to track since it will work for most people and only fail
for those hitting the particular node with the issue.

In my case every time this happens I'm flooded with requests for help
from our local users and it is now too much work for me to deal with
so I've reluctantly chosen to disable the CDN until it is resolved.
