I gave it a fast try and it fails on patching with
vlc-0.9.2-fix_font_path.patch. I haven't checked why and how to fix it
yet, though.

If it builds and works I would move it right into stable. Or is there
any indication 1.1.x would be less stable than 1.0.x?
