The other versions can be fixed in a similar way, I guess. If people at RedHat continue to produce these hybrid versions, it will be very difficult to maintain the support in the future ... I almost fixed alsa, but since my rhel5 sound is working with the stock driver, I decided to invest on rhel6 for a while.
