The normal plugin (local) installation goes to ~/.config/blender/2.67/scripts/addons/yafaray and the system wide goes to: /opt/blender-2.67b-linux-glibc211-x86_64/2.67/scripts/addons/yafaray in case blender is installed in /opt (what I do in rhel6). I do not know why there is no 64 bit version of the linux plugin for the latest 2.67b version. There is a working version for Mac OS, though... Maybe it is not a waste of time to repack this new yafaray version after all ...
