I have an issue where I build an RPM using 'rpmbuild -ba <spec file>'

also tried with rpmbuild -bb with no luck.

No %files section?

Can you post the output of the "rpmbuild -ba" command?

Output from rpmbuild -ba command:

+ exit 0

Executing(%install): /bin/sh -e /var/tmp/rpm-tmp.93969

+ umask 022

+ cd /users/home/jm1/redhat/BUILD

+ cd openldap-2.4.7

+ mkdir -p /users/home/jm1/redhat/BUILD/openldap-2.4.7-build

+ /usr/lib/rpm/brp-compress

+ /usr/lib/rpm/brp-strip

So it's definitely building the source rpm here, but not the binary.
