I apologize.  I didn't mean to cause confusion here.  Let me try to
explain where I'm coming from.

        * I use grab in more than one way.  Sometimes I want to know
          what all is out there that is newer than what's installed
          without regard to any special source.

        * Because of this, I have mupliple servers listed in the
          'server' section of my grab configuration files. RedHat's
          Rawhide server, RedHat's Update server, Ximian's ftp server,
          etc.

        * But what if I want to JUST check for 'official' updates from
          RedHat and no where else?  First, I have to edit my 'server'
          file and comment out the other servers.  Then do a --clean and
          an --update and a --sysupdate --skiplist to get the info I
          want.

        * If I had a 'DISTRO_UPDATE_SERVER' section in grab's 'server'
          file I could put the RedHat 7.2 update server address there
          also and nothing else.  Then when I wanted to JUST check for
          'official' updates from RedHat and no where else, all I would
          have to do would be to issue a command like this:  grab
          --update --Distro --skiplist and grab would only check
          RedHat's  update server, skip the Ximian-labeled files, and
          tell me if there were any 'official' updates available to me,
          all without having to edit my 'server' files to do so, and
          then edit it back again afterward.

Does any of that make sense?  If not, just forget it.  I don't want to
cause a problem here.  It might be something that only I am interested
in anyway.  Sorry if I have been unclear and confusing.
