make it so

hi
it would be handy to have the option to specify a download location in the
command line instead of editing the config file. say, for example i want to
upgrade a program that only i use and ont that doesnt get updated very often. :)
can you also make it be a single line instead of specifying the server, (ftp,
or http) and then in a separate command the directory. why would someone do
that anyway?
