squid on redhat; with the annoying '2.4.STABLE6' and the like. :(

ncftp / > cd linux/redhat/linux/7.3/en/os/i386/RedHat/RPMS/
ncftp ...en/os/i386/RedHat/RPMS > ls squi*
squid-2.4.STABLE6-1.7.2.i386.rpm

tho the fact that the alpha string is ahead of the version # instead of
behind it could be used as a way around in this particular case.
