Hi again, At some point between the grab of Sep 08 and today (grab-2.0-gmk1), the problem re-surfaced. To recall, grab says: ,---- | [root@meat root]# grab --update | -Updating remote RPM cache database | ->Indexed [1] RPMS from [email protected] | ->Grabbed and indexed [1232] local RPMS from RH72_CDROM | ->Grabbed and indexed [2704] local RPMS from RH80_CDROM | ->Grabbed and indexed [2704] local RPMS from LOCAL_CACHE | -Updating remote provides database with new packages | error: open of ftp:///root/rh80/RPMS/Omni-0.7.0-6.i386.rpm failed: Operation not permitted | warning: u 0x8051388 ctrl 0x80586c8 nrefs != 0 (/root ftp) | error: open of ftp:///root/rh80/RPMS/Omni-0.7.0-6.i386.rpm failed: Operation not permitted | warning: u 0x80513b8 ctrl 0x80586f0 nrefs != 0 (/root ftp) | error: open of ftp:///root/rh80/RPMS/Omni-foomatic-0.7.0-6.i386.rpm failed: Operation not permitted `---- producing an error message for each and every RPM in my local caches. grab is configured for one remote server (the grab repo), and 3 local dirs (rh72, rh80 cd's, and local cache). Remote server is fine. Local dirs get interpreted as ftp servers, with obviously disastrous results. grab --cleanall doesn't seem to change the problem, and neither did removing the rpm, /etc/grab/ and /var/cache/grab/ and reinstalling the rpm, so I don't think the problem is a corrupt DB. Any ideas? -- Ami Fischman [email protected]
