Sure, I think this is very possible.

One of the reasons that I went with the dependancy tree instead of the
Provides.db is because I was already thinking about making the --info
accessible locally to GRAB, as well as incorporate vendor/packager checks.

Geekappeal is cool! Actually, my goal was always to make GRAB something that 
was easy enough for newbies, but had enough cool features to satisfy the gurus.

I think that these requests can be ported in. It will take me a bit however,
because last night my laptop harddrive fried again. I guess these dang things
are just not meant to run 24x7, and be pushed all the time with giant file
manipulations all the time (like I do). Second one in a year on this system!

Oh well... I guess that is why we get paid the big bucks (well at least some
bucks).
