do me another favor... Try the current development version (2.3pre3). 

   # grab --getdevel
   # grab --cleanall
   # ./grab-devel --update

Then check to see if those .info files are still showing up empty. I added a
very simple check to see if the package is an RPM and if not, skip it. Maybe
it will be just that simple!
