I never said superior! :) Debian is a great OS! I have just grown into RedHat,
and I have come to appreciate the lack of hack and customization time that is
usually not needed.

Hardware and Software vendors typically defaults to supporting RedHat
specifically, and I am usually very comfortable installing RH on the
technically challenged desktop. Server support is also a necessity. I have
found vendors from RAID, backup, compilers, etc... that are in many cases 
specific to RedHat/RPM.
