Install of redhat linux 390 never completes

Hello,

I'm trying to install RH linux 390, on an MP/3000 under VM. This is the version dated March 2002.
	Linux version 2.4.9-31.1BOOT ([email protected])
1) I didn't find the way to add a swap device,
2) Then the install of the packages is starting, but is going slower and slover, then hanging on 1 package i.e. glibc ...

Any idea ?
