no sound on docking station

Hello all,
         Can't seem to get Redhat 8.0 to output sound to the docking 
station. If I plug the speakers directly into the laptop line out port it 
works. I have a Dell Inspiron 8000 with accompanying docking station.

Any suggestions are appreciated
