Thank you for the prompt reply.
I am currently using RH 8.0 . There is no sound (Intel 845GBV MoBo) . Is there any way I can get sound with this combination?

For most boards. Last time I checked both RH and Mandrake had identical 
i810 audio driver code in their kernels
