audio in Dell Optiplex GX270

Hi,

I have a bunch of Dell Optiplex GX270 systems with redhat 9 (2.4.20-20.9). 
There seems to be no way off getting audio to work because of this:

Is there any change that there will be a redhat released RH9 kernel package
fixing these probs or should i try to patch a redhat kernel myself?
