Well i have redHat6.2 running on my sparc5. So its possible that the one Linhares has is fine for the UltraSparc. Moreover the machine might be trying to boot from the disks instead of the CD drive. See that u made that change correctly. I am sure u tried this but still: 1. Check that the CDs were burnt correctly. 2. And that you burnt the "iso" images. 3. RD6.2 did not give me any problems while booting up so check that you are trying to boot from the CD and not the default disk. Let us know how u solved it.
