yup - using plain /dev/...:

/dev/sda2   swap      swap        defaults   0   0
/dev/sda1   /         ext3        defaults   1   1
none        /dev/pts  devpts      gid=3D5,mode=3D620  0   0
none        /proc     proc        defaults   0   0

Which kernel configs are you refering to?  I presume you're talking about
an option when doing a make menuconfig...
