I have an Ultra1/170 with 256MB RAM, 2 - 4GB HDD, and a CD-ROM. BTW, I'm headless doing a serial console install (always worked perfect for Solaris). Two questions really: I wanted to install RH with RAID1 (mirroring) during install. RH says using GUI install it's a feature but serial it would take some doing. Has anybody ever done that? Next, once I've installed via serial console, I haven't been able to connect to the machine via XDMCP. How would one allow a headless machine to have X support for connecting to it along or even for running VNC? I know I could spend the money and get a frame buffer, keyboard, mouse, monitor but that would make sense...I like to do things the hard way! Geez, just getting up2date up to date was time consuming as it is. The instructions at RH leave much to be desired. Enough blabbing already, any ideas from anyone? Thanks!
